Naga Chaitanya recently addressed rumors about his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu and his marriage to Sobhita Dhulipala. Speaking on the Raw Talks With VK podcast, he dismissed claims that Sobhita played any role in his past marriage’s breakdown.

Chaitanya defended Sobhita, stating that she had no connection to his divorce. He expressed sympathy for her, saying, “More than me, I feel bad for her. She doesn’t deserve it. She came into my life in a very organic and beautiful way.” He explained that they met through social media, became friends, and built their relationship naturally. He condemned the false accusations against her, calling it unfair to drag her into his past.

Despite the public scrutiny, Chaitanya praised Sobhita for handling the situation with patience and maturity. He described her as a ‘true hero’ for enduring the backlash that followed their relationship’s revelation.

Reflecting on his divorce, Chaitanya shared personal insights. “I am a child of a broken family, so I will think a thousand times before ending a relationship. It was a mutual decision; it didn’t happen overnight,” he said. Though he regrets the situation, he believes everything happens for a reason.

For context, Chaitanya is the son of veteran actor Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati, who divorced in 1990. Nagarjuna later married Amala Akkineni, and they have a son, Akhil Akkineni. Chaitanya was married to Samantha from 2017 to 2021. After dating Sobhita for two years, he married her in 2024.

On the professional front, Chaitanya continues to make strides in the film industry. He last appeared in the 2023 film Custody and the web series Dhoota. His latest release, Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti and co-starring Sai Pallavi, grossed over ₹80 crore worldwide in five days. The film hit theatres on February 7, marking another successful project in his career.
