Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaches Japan to attend 14th G20 Summit
Tokyo/New Delhi, June 27 (HS): India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Osaka to attend the G-20 conference. He will meet with other world leaders such as US President Danald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Prime Minister will remain in Osaka for three days. During this period, he will meet with the other leaders in a bilateral meeting. When the Prime Minister came to Japan, the people of Indian community welcomed Modi. This is Modi’s sixth G-20 conference.
The G-20-conference will be held from 27th to 29th June.
The Prime Minister will also meet with the leaders of many experts.
In his departure statement, Modi said that issues such as women empowerment, artificial intelligence and common efforts to address challenges like terrorism will be high on his agenda.
Modi tweeted, “Reached Osaka to join the #G20 Summit. Grateful to the dynamic Indian community for the warm welcome!” Meanwhile, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted, “PM Narendramodi greeted by excited and proud young members of the Indian community on his arrival at the hotel in Osaka.
The theme of G20 Summit 2019 is Human-centred future society. Food security, energy security, financial stability, terrorism-related issues, Innovation in the digital economy and artificial intelligence will be discussed. More than 20 countries will be participating in the G20 Summit.
