Kolkata, Jun.27 (HS): Once again showing her desperation to regain her political supremacy in the state at the earliest, West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee today held her second meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishore here in a bid to achieve her goal by any means.
Prashat Kishore who ensured a resounding victory for new Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy by defeating the previous incumbent Chandrabbu Naidu hands down in the last month’s simultaneous state assembly elections there by winning as many as 150 of the total 175 sears, spent over an hour with Mamata Banerhee and her nephew cum Diamond Harbour MP Avishek Banerjee at Nabanna, the state Secretatiat this afternoon to discuss several political issues.
Though the exact details of this highly secretive meeting is not yet available, according to top Trinamool Congress sources, the trio discussed the party’s future strategies and how to deal with the BJP in the state.
It may be recalled that the country’s top most political strategist who hails from Bihar and is a senior leader of the ruling Janata Dal (United) headed by Chief minister Nitish Kumar, met Mamata Banerjee at the same venue for the first time on 6 June following the humiliating defeat of her party Trinamool Congress in the hands of BJP  in the Lok Sabha poll,to find a way out to claim her political supremacy once again.
It may be recalled that Prashant Kishore who also worked as a master political strategist of several political big wigs including  Prime minister Narendra Modi prior to his first Lok Sabha election in 2014 and ensured the massive victory of BJP before the first term of the NDA  government, had reportedly been asked to prepare an effective ‘Blue Print’  for TMC so that the ruling party could face the coming Assembly elections in 2021 with full confidence.
As per the agreement, Prashant Kishore and his well experienced team have already started  their initial work in Bengal to make a detailed planning and other strategies on how to stop the BJP juggernaut in the state before the assembly poll which was still about two years away.
Kishore first shot into fame after he achieved a huge success following the election of Nitish Kumar as the Chief minister of Bihar in early 2002 with his help.
After that he did not look back and helped the election victory of Narendra Modi in 2014 and this time of  JaganMohan Reddy.
But all was not well for him also when he could not ensure victory of Congress and Samajwadi Party alliance in Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll about two years ago with BJP  returning to power with a massive mandate
Now it remains to be seen whether this unique strategist would be able to bring the desired results for TMC overcoming  all odds in favour of BJP and by stopping its so far unabated growth in Bengal after the Lok Sabha elections.
