Over the past four days, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has shattered records, grossing over Rs. 621 crore globally. Directed by Sukumar, the film became the fastest Indian movie to reach this milestone. However, the film faced backlash in Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana (TS) due to high ticket prices.
Benefit show tickets were initially sold at Rs. 800–Rs. 1,000, and ticket rates stayed high throughout the opening weekend. In many single-screen theaters, ticket prices exceeded Rs. 300, limiting access for many moviegoers.
Starting today, ticket prices have been reduced in both states. Single-screen tickets are now priced at Rs. 200, making the film more affordable. Multiplex tickets also saw a decrease, costing Rs. 395 in Telangana and Rs. 300 in Andhra Pradesh. Prices may vary slightly depending on the location and theater chain.
This price cut brings relief to moviegoers, making Pushpa 2 more accessible to a larger audience. The adjustment is expected to boost footfalls and increase box office collections. With these changes, the film’s success is likely to continue as it captivates audiences in Telugu states for weeks to come.
