Vladimir Putin recently expressed concern about U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s safety, citing multiple assassination attempts against him. Speaking at a press conference in Kazakhstan, Putin called Trump an “intelligent politician” who will likely find a solution to end the ongoing war.

However, he also cautioned that Trump is not safe due to the repeated attacks, including one in Pennsylvania during Trump’s rally and another at Mar-A-Lago. Putin described the attempts as “uncivilized” and voiced shock over the harsh criticism Trump and his family endured during the election.

Despite Trump’s intelligence and experience, Putin believes he remains a target and should remain cautious. In the same press conference, Putin also issued a stark warning regarding Ukraine. He threatened to unleash Russia’s new Oreshnik missiles on Kyiv, stating these intermediate-range weapons were recently deployed against Dnipro and could bypass any air defense system.

Putin claimed the Oreshnik missile, capable of carrying multiple warheads, has “comparable strength to a nuclear strike,” though it is not currently armed with nuclear warheads.

This missile threat comes in response to Western nations, including the U.S., UK, and France, supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles. Putin views this as a direct provocation and warned that Russia might target Ukraine’s military, industrial facilities, and key decision-making centers, particularly in Kyiv. He emphasized that Ukraine’s continued attacks on Russian vital facilities would be met with a powerful response.

Putin also speculated that the Biden administration’s actions—such as providing Ukraine with advanced weaponry—might be aimed at either escalating tensions with Russia or creating challenges for Trump should he return to power. Despite these tensions, Putin reiterated that Moscow remains open to dialogue, although his rhetoric remains aggressive.

Meanwhile, Trump has vowed to end the war within 24 hours of assuming office, though the details of his plan remain unclear.
