Delhi court sentences AAP MLA Manoj Kumar for 3 months
Delhi, June 25 (HS): Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manoj Kumar has been sentenced for 3 months jail custody by MP-MLA Fast Track Court. Along with this, he has also been imposed a fine of Rs 10 thousand. The court convicted the MLA for obstructing the election process at a booth of Kalyanpuri during the Delhi assembly elections in the year 2013.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal convicted MLA Manoj Kumar for obstructing the work of public servant and spreading disorder near the polling booth. On June 4, the special court convicted Manoj Kumar.
It was reported that the AAP candidate Kumar had led over 50 protestors at the main gate of a school during assembly elections who caused problems to the voters and disturbed the poll process.
