Kejriwal on Gahlot’s BJP move: “He can go wherever he wants”

Former Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot joined the BJP on Monday after resigning from AAP. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal responded, saying, “He is free to go wherever he wants.”

In his resignation letter, Gahlot criticized AAP for unfulfilled promises and controversies. He highlighted the failure to clean the Yamuna River, a key commitment to voters. “We promised a cleaner Yamuna but failed to deliver,” he wrote.

Gahlot also referred to the controversy over Kejriwal’s official residence, calling it “embarrassing” and questioning AAP’s commitment to being a common man’s party.

Senior AAP leader Durgesh Pathak claimed Gahlot faced pressure from central agencies like the ED and Income Tax Department, which led to his decision to quit.
