PM Modi to unveil ₹12,000 crore worth of projects for Bihar today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift development projects worth around ₹12,000 crore to Bihar today. The projects include inaugurations, foundation stone layings, and the dedication of key schemes. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) shared details of Modi’s Darbhanga program on its official handle.
At 10:45 AM, Modi will arrive in Darbhanga. One of the highlights will be the inauguration of 18 Jan Aushadhi Kendras at railway stations across the country, a new initiative aimed at improving access to affordable medicines.
To boost the region’s healthcare infrastructure, Modi will lay the foundation stone for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga. This project, worth over ₹1,260 crore, will feature a super-specialty hospital, an AYUSH block, a medical college, nursing college, night shelter, and residential facilities.
The Prime Minister will also launch several major National Highway projects in Bihar, valued at ₹5,070 crore. Additionally, two railway overbridges will be inaugurated, along with a significant bridge at Bandhuganj connecting Jehanabad to Bihar Sharif.
In further plans, Modi will lay the foundation for eight more National Highway projects. He will inaugurate and begin work on railway projects worth over ₹1,740 crore. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for the Sonenagar bypass railway line, a ₹220 crore project connecting Chiralapothu to Bagha Bishunpur in Aurangabad district.
Finally, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for several initiatives in the petroleum and natural gas sector, worth over ₹4,020 crore. These projects are expected to enhance infrastructure and drive growth in the state.
