Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is set to boost the party’s election campaign in North Nagpur on Saturday, November 9. He will speak at a public rally supporting Congress candidate Dr. Nitin Raut, who is running for the North Nagpur constituency.

Kharge’s visit will begin with a stop at Deekshabhoomi at 11 a.m., a site of historical significance for the Dalit community, known for its association with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. This visit underscores Congress’s commitment to Dalit issues and social justice.

Afterward, Kharge will proceed to Tiwsa before returning to North Nagpur for the evening rally. Scheduled at 7 p.m. at the Lalit Kala Bhavan ground in Thaore Colony, the event aims to energize local supporters and emphasize Congress’s vision for development in the region. Kharge is expected to highlight key issues affecting North Nagpur, including job creation, social welfare, and healthcare improvements.

This rally comes at a crucial time in the election season, with Congress looking to strengthen its grassroots support. Kharge’s presence signals Congress’s dedication to North Nagpur, a constituency with a significant Dalit and working-class population. By backing Dr. Raut, Congress hopes to connect with voters through a message of inclusivity and progress.

Following the rally, Kharge will return to Mumbai later in the night. His visit marks another high-profile effort by Congress to draw attention to its candidates and policy priorities in Maharashtra.
