Indian leaders react strongly to Canada temple attack by pro-khalistani extremists
The violent attack on Brampton’s Hindu Sabha temple by pro-Khalistani extremists has drawn strong reactions from Indian leaders across parties. The assault unfolded when pro-Khalistan radicals entered the Greater Toronto Area temple, disrupting a peaceful congregation and injuring attendees.
Janasena Party leader and Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, voiced deep concern over the incident, condemning the lack of global response. He questioned why international leaders, organizations, and NGOs have remained silent about the recurring violence and hate crimes against Hindus worldwide. Kalyan expressed frustration at the limited attention given to Hindu suffering and called for global solidarity.
“It pains me to see our Hindu brothers and sisters enduring violence and suffering in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and now in Canada,” Kalyan stated on X (formerly Twitter). “As a global minority, Hindus often lack solidarity and are easy targets. Every act of hatred and violence against them is a blow to peace and humanity.”
Kalyan also urged the Canadian government to act decisively, demanding protection for the Hindu community there. He described the attack as a direct affront, sparking alarm and sorrow among Hindus globally. “I hope Canada takes immediate steps to create a secure environment for Hindus,” he added.
Kalyan’s call for solidarity underscores the need for stronger global awareness and swift action in support of vulnerable communities. He emphasized that the world must recognize and address the suffering of Hindus with the same commitment shown to other persecuted groups.
