The Supreme Court will hear the NEET PG 2024 transparency plea on Friday, October 25. This plea, filed by students, demands the disclosure of answer keys and question papers, raising concerns about discrepancies in the ranking process. On September 20, the court instructed the National Board of Education (NBE) to respond to the petition. The case focuses on ensuring transparency in the results and the selection process.

Students grew frustrated after the NEET PG 2024 results, announced by NBE on August 23, showed unexpectedly low rankings. Many students had compared their scores with unofficial answer keys and noticed inconsistencies. This raised concerns about the fairness of the ranking process.

In early October, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) sent a letter to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, calling for timely NEET PG 2024 counselling. The ongoing case in the Supreme Court has delayed the counselling process, leaving students in uncertainty. The IMA highlighted that this delay is causing stress for students, who await clarity on the next steps.

With the upcoming hearing, students and medical associations hope for a decision that ensures transparency and fairness in the selection process. They believe that the disclosure of answer keys and question papers will provide much-needed clarity and address concerns about the standardization of marks. A timely resolution will allow the counselling process to proceed without further delays, offering students some relief after months of uncertainty.
