FM Sitharaman Leads Mexico Roundtable to Drive Innovation and Collaboration
On Thursday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired a Tech Leaders Roundtable in Guadalajara, Mexico. The event, organized by the Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry and Tata Consultancy Services, aimed to deepen technological cooperation between India and Mexico. The Embassy of India and the Department of Economic Affairs also collaborated in hosting this meeting.
Sitharaman engaged with global technology leaders, including representatives from Indian IT companies operating in the region. Discussions centered on increasing cooperation in innovation and technology. The goal was to strengthen collaboration between the two countries, opening doors for expanded partnerships.
In addition, Sitharaman visited Tata Consultancy Services’ Mexico headquarters to honor Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9. Her tribute underscored the lasting impact of Tata’s work in global business.
Sitharaman’s visit reflects India’s growing focus on trade and technology partnerships with Mexico. Through events like the roundtable, both countries aim to leverage their technological strengths, fostering innovation and economic growth.
