Atishi’s parents tried to save terrorist Afzal: Swati Maliwal
New Delhi : Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party leader Swati Maliwal, has raised questions on Delhi Minister Atishi Marlena’s background.
Referring to the efforts of Atishi’s parents to save terrorist Afzal Guru, Swati said that God should protect Delhi.
Atishi has been appointed as the next Chief Minister of Delhi by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators.
It is noteworthy that she has been chosen for the post of Chief Minister after Kejriwal’s resignation in Delhi.
Atishi will be the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi.
She was born on 8 June 1981 to Delhi University professor Vijay Singh Tomar and Tripta Vahi.
She fought a case in the court to save terrorist Afzal Guru.
Maliwal took a dig at Atishi, saying, “Although Atishi Marlena is just a ‘dummy CM’, still this issue is related to the security of the country. May God protect Delhi.”
Swati Maliwal said in an X post that today is a very sad day for Delhi.
Today, the Chief Minister of Delhi is being made a woman whose family fought a long battle to save terrorist Afzal Guru from hanging.
Her parents wrote mercy petitions to the President to save terrorist Afzal Guru.
According to Atishi , Afzal Guru was innocent and was trapped in a political conspiracy.
