Two Bangladeshis nabbed from Indo-Bangladesh border

Cooch Behar, 27 February(HS): Two Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by 151st Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) under Jalpaiguri Sector of North Bengal Frontier, posted at ICP Changarabandha on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Cooch Behar district. The names of the arrested Bangladeshi citizens are Mohammad Roni Hasan Rajan (22) and Arif Shaikh. The BSF on Tuesday issued a press release regarding the arrest of the Bangladeshi nationals.

According to the BSF, both of them were caught with a Bangladeshi truck from the parking area of ICP Chengarabandha. The duo entered Indian territory illegally with a truck loaded with cotton and then hid the truck in the dark of night.

BSF party recovered 1,495 taka, ?110 and two mobile phones from both of them. The truck has been confiscated. Both the Bangladeshi citizens have been handed over to Mekhliganj police station along with the seized goods.
