Ranchi, Nov 8: President Ram Nath Kovind honored Nagpuri lyricist Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh and Chhau Guru Shashadhar Acharya of Seraikela with Padma Shri in New Delhi on Monday.
After receiving the Padma Shri award, Madhu Mansoori Hasmukhthat said that he dedicates this honor to the listeners of Jharkhand. Padma Shri Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh is a resident of Simaliya of Ratu block of Ranchi district. Through Nagpuri songs, he has illuminated the name of the state in the entire country and abroad. Not only this, he also played an important role in the Jharkhand movement. He is called the prince of Nagpuri songs. He has written many songs on Jal-Jungle-Zameen and Jharkhand movement.
Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh said that it is the love of the people of Jharkhand that they have received this honor. They dedicate it to the audience.
Chhau Guru Shashadhar Acharya is a resident of Seraikela Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. Through Chhau dance, he has illuminated the name of the state in the entire country and abroad. For his remarkable contribution to Chhau dance, he has been awarded the Padma Shri which was announced in 2020 itself.
