Updated ….Karnataka government given sign of mid-term elections
Bangalore , June 21 (HS) : Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal Secular (JDS) Chief H. D. Deve Gowda said that mid-term elections can be held anytime in Karnataka. He said that the public is watching the way the Congress is behaving. I can not say how long this government will sustain.JDS supremo Deve Gowda said that leaders in the coalition seem to believe that the arrangement is hurting their party and think it should be called off.
Gowda said ,I had assured support for full five years but the developments are there for everybody to see. People are aware enough to understand it. The leaders in the coalition seem to believe that the arrangement is hurting their party and think it should be called off.
CM,” Devegowda said , “Congress should have first discussed with everybody and then approached us. But they came down suddenly. Why did they do it? Because Yeddyurappa had taken an oath and they didn’t want BJP to form the government.
After the Lok Sabha elections, it seems that Congress have lost their strength. “
He further said, “There is no danger from our side. I do not know how long this government will survive. It is in the hands of the Congress, not Kumaraswamy. We gave them one place in the cabinet. What we said, everything we did ” The former PM said, “There is no doubt that the midterm elections will be held.
