Superstar Rajnikanth honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award
New Delhi, 25 October (H.S): Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur felicitated the winners at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on Monday. The film award was announced on 22 March this year. The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan was also present on the occasion.
Superstar Rajinikanth was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This time in the Hindi cinema category, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Chhichhore, released in the year 2019, has been rewarded with the Best Hindi Film award. The film talks about a serious topic like mental health. Also, actress Kangana Ranaut was awarded the Best Actress Award for the films ‘Manikarnika’ and ‘Panga’. Manoj Bajpayee and South’s superstar Dhanush were jointly given the Best Actor Award.
Also, the Best Male Playback Singer award was given to singer B Praak for the superhit song ‘Teri Mitti’ from actor Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Kesari’.
