Imran Khan attributes Tagore’s quote to Khalil Gibran by mistake
Islamabad, June 20 (HS): Prime Minister Imran Khan was trolled for misrepresenting a famous quotation of Indian poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore to Lebanese-American poet Khalil Gibran.
According to Imran’s post, the quote is by Lebanese writer Kahlil Gibran. However, it actually belongs to famous Indian poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Imran Khan shared an inspirational quote that says, “I slept and dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.”Khan captioned the quote, saying “Those who discover and get to understand the wisdom of Gibran’s words cited below, get to live a life of contentment.”
In his caption, the Pakistan PM wrote that those who search for knowledge in Gibran’s words and get it, they get some sort of satisfaction also in this way. Although Imran did not know about his mistake, people trolled him by making him realize his mistake.
The tweet garnered 23,000 likes and was retweeted over 5,000 times, while more than 2,000 people commented on it.Most of the Twitter users teased Khan for his poor knowledge and asked him to confirm things before going public.
