Hide out Busted in Poonch, Arm’s and Ammunition recovered

Poonch, 22 May(HS): Two Chinese pistols one AK 56 gun, one AK 56 magazine, Thirty AK Rounds, and one Pistal magazine were recovered during an operation in Qasba village in Haveli Tehsil of Poonch district today.

SSP Poonch Dr. Vinod Kumar interacting with Hindustan Samachar Said that an operation was launched jointly by the army and Poonch police during which arms and ammunition were found kept hidden in the area. He said we have cordoned the area and searches are still going on more details will be shared later.

Police Sources said earlier on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the Qasba area by a joint team of forces including 21 Gharwal Army and SOG Poonch later on Security Forces recovered arms and ammunition from the area.
Police sources said that apparently the arms and ammunition were kept in the area in the past years.
