Despite Covid, industries are running continuously in UP

Lucknow, 03 May  (HS) :     To bring down the rampant transmission of the second wave, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working relentlessly and standing on every front. Emphasis is being laid on testing, tracking, treatment and vaccination to curb the coronavirus infection in the state.

     At the same time, the UP CM is leaving no stones unturned in taking care of the livelihood of people as well as ensuring that the development of the state should not be affected. Despite Covid, the industries are running continuously, sugar mills are also working, wheat is also being procured, sugarcane payment is being made to the farmers and attention is also being paid to private sectors. Not only this, Panchayat elections were also conducted in the state on the orders of the High Court where Covid protocol was also followed simultaneously.

According to a spokesperson of the state government Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working 18 to 20 hours every day to protect the state from the second wave of infection. Even when he was infected with Covid-19, the Chief Minister maintained direct interaction with different sections throughout to provide proper medical aid to any one in need. Now, as he has recently recovered, the CM will interact with the players on Monday, and later, on Tuesday, he will have an interaction with the purchase center in-charges and the farmers. On his instructions, strict action is also being taken on the black marketing of Remdesivir injection and oxygen cylinders and their illegal recovery in private labs and hospitals.

It is because of the solid strategies of CM Yogi that the the state is improving every day in the fight against Covid, the number of cases is decreasing and the recovery rate is increasing. Adequate amount oxygen is made available in the hospitals along with increasing the number of beds and the resources every day, said the spokesperson.

This year, twice as much oxygen is needed as compared to the first wave of Corona and keeping that in mind, the state government is supplying 631 metric tonnes of oxygen daily to hospitals. The state government has also sent a proposal to the central government for the supply of 150 metric tons of oxygen, he said.

Covid Care Center being built for industry workers: Sehgal

Additional Chief Secretary, Information and Public Relations Navneet Sehgal said that every department is working with double strength in this pandemic situation. Things are being monitored for 24 hours without any break. The development of the state should not be affected at any cost, amid the Covid surge.

“More than 60 lakh people are working in 8 lakh industries of the state and about three crore people are associated with 80 lakh small-scale units. 72,000 Covid Help Desk has been set up in these industries and now Covid Care Centre is also being built”, informed Navneet Sehgal.
