Meghalaya administration fails to find out 166 missing covid positives
Shillong, April 27 (H.S.). The Meghalaya administration has so far failed to trace out 166 covid positive people, who went missing from East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. It is a very serious matter for the administration. That is why all these missing persons are being searched with great fervour.
It may be mentioned that all these 166 missing Covid positive people had reached Meghalaya from other States. They were tested covid by the East Khasi Hills district administration from April 24 to April 26. They were sent for 10 days of home isolation as they were found positive in the investigation. But, none of them had go to their homes. None of them could be found, when the administration tried to contact them.
Most of these people had registered their mobile numbers wrongly. And, many people switched off their mobile phones. A covid team of Meghalaya Police and Meghalaya Health Department is being engaged in the search of the absconded. Health department sources said they did not reached to their homes at all.
That is why they have increased the risk of covid spreading in the state. Meanwhile, it has been announced by the Meghalaya administration that strict legal action will be taken against any covid positive person who does not follow the 10-day home isolation rule.
Taking lesson from the disappearance of covid positive people, the administration has now tightened its grip in this direction. The team has been cautioned to work more cautiously.
