Excise department seized foreign liquopr worth 25 lakhs
Chapra,15 April,2021 (HS) Excise department again seized a tanker containing foreign liquor worth Rs. 25 lakhs. Only two days ago, a tanker was seized containing foreign liquor worth 17 lakhs. Excise superintendent Rajnish Kumar told that on a tip off the Tanker was seized last night from Bansohi check post under Maserak police station. 136 cartons of foreign liquor of different brands were kept in a secret chamber of the tanker. He said that the liquor cache was being sent to Shitalpur from Haryana. Driver of the tanker Manjit from Sonipat in Haryana has been arrested.
Manjit told that earlier also he had brought the consignment but could not be apprehended. This time he was nabbed. He has done this for money as eighteen to twenty thousand was assured to him if the delivery was made successfully.
