NCLT court closed till April 23
PRAYAGRAJ, April 13 (HS): Due to an increase in the number of Covid positive cases in Prayagraj district, the court work of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Allahabad Bench has been deferred from April 12 to April 23. Earlier, the president of the NCLT Bar Association, Allahabad Bench, Uday Chandani, called the head of the department (HoD) of the NCLT, Allahabad Bench, requesting that the court’s functioning be postponed from April 12 to April 23 due to Covid positive cases in Prayagraj, which has nearly reached epidemic level.
As a result of the situation, assistant registrar, NCLT, Allahabad Bench, PP Pandey, released a notice, and the appeal of the NCLT Bar Association was approved. The notice also stated that while considering the Bar’s appeal, it was also considered that four members of this court’s staff had been tested positive, necessitating full protective measures, and the amount of Covid positive cases being replicated every day, it was determined that the NCLT’s court operations would be deferred from April 12 to April 23.
The office/court premises must be closed for at least 10 days after sanitization to fully benefit from the sanitization, according to the notice. The NCLT, Allahabad Bench, has been operating at Panna Lal Road (Park Road) here under the aegis of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Government of India, and has jurisdiction over cases relating to companies arising in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
