Chinese President, Xi Jinping to visit North Korea
Beijing/New Delh , June 18 (HS): Chinese President Xi Jinping, will visit North Korea for the first time on June 20-21, and for the first time in 14 years. Earlier in 2005, the Chinese President Hu Jintao went to Pyongyong. It is noteworthy that in the last one year Jimping has met the North Korean top leader Kim Jong-four times.His visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
korea spokeswoman Ko Min-jung said in a statement,“We expect this visit to contribute to the early resumption of talks for complete de-nuclearization and a permanent peace settlement on the Korean Peninsula.
