Jihadi attempt to divide Hindu-Christian unity
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, (March 24 HS): An attempt by Jihadi Groups and Islamists to drive a wedge between the Hindus and Christians of Kerala have come out on Wednesday morning. Some of the evangelical propaganda portals published news reports which alleged that nuns belonging to the Sacred Heart Congregation in New Delhi who were on their way to native villages for Easter holidays were attacked by Bajrang Dal activists at Jhansi Railway Station.
The reports alleged that the nuns were accused of religious conversion and beaten up by the vigilante groups monitoring the rail traffic at Jhansi. Interestingly, this incident did not find mention even in anti-BJP media in Uttar Pradesh till some of the Jihadi funded portals reported about it.
It had its ramifications across the country as Catholic Bishop Council of India issuing a statement condemning the “attack” and asking the State and central governments to take immediate action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
Deepika, the mouthpiece of the Catholic Church had published an editorial expressing doubts over the BJP’s assurance to the minority communities that they would be safe and secure under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is campaigning in Kerala assured the community that the BJP Government would leave no stones unturned and bring the culprits to book at the earliest if such an incident has taken place.
