Union Minister wants Left Front to be voted out
KOCHI (March 21, 2021): Hindus and Christians are no more safe in Kerala, said Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs. Addressing various election rallies at Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district and Ambalappuzha in Alappuzha district, the young minister said Kerala, which was once known as ‘God’s Own Country’ has been turned into ‘Gold Smuggling Country’.
“The Chief Minister’s Office has become a den for smugglers, criminals and all anti- national elements. A hardcore criminal who was out on parole was seen gracing the marriage of the chief minister’s daughter in his official residence. Where else you can see criminals out on parole walking into the chief minister’s residence,” asked Thakur while addressing an election rally at Perumbavoor.
He pointed out that Hindus and Christians were no more safe in the State. “The Love Jihad has become a routine affair in Kerala. Members of the Christian community have started complaining to the central Government that their daughters and sisters are no more safe in Kerala and were ending up as victims of Love Jihad,” said the minister.
He charged that the CPI(M) in order to appease a particular minority community was victimising Hindus and Christians in the State. “The Marxist goons are being employed in Government services derailing the merit list prepared by the Public Service Commission. Educated youth in Kerala do not stand a chance to get any jobs in the State unless he/she is a relative or friend of the CPI(M) leader. Corruption has become a way of life for the Marxists,” said Thakur.
Reading out from a long list of financial packages provided to the State Government by the Narendra Mosi Government at the Centre, “While under the UPA regime, Kerala received Rs 29, 840 crore as allocation from taxes, the Modi Government disbursed Rs 71, 713 crore to Kerala during 2014 to 2019. The Central Government has allocated Rs 1.38 lakh crore to Kerala as part of infrastructure development. The Kerala Government could offer free ration and financial packages during the Covid-19 pandemic only because of the Modi Government’s kind hearted gesture. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Centre ensured that 1.2 million expatriates from Kerala were brought back to safety,” he said.
