Govt. Primary School working without building

UDHAMPUR, March 14 (HS):Government Primary School village Sumeanu Zone Ghordi of Udhampur district is being run in open for the last 15 years.

Despite repeated pleas to the district administration and the School Education Department authorities, no measures were taken for making of the school building with the result that the students are forced to have classes in open sky, whether it is sweltering summer or chilling winters.
Up in arms against the callous attitude of the concerned authorities, local villagers today held a protest demonstration.

They lamented that the authorities never made an inspection of Government schools situated in far flung areas of Ghordi Zone and hence they were unable to know the conditions under which the students were undergoing studies.
The protesting villagers demanded the building of Govt Primary School Sumeanu at the earliest without any further delay, so that their children may not suffer any more.

A few years ago the villagers made a mud room but the education department, even after 15 year, did no care to construct a single room and poor children are forced to sit in open sky.

Prominent among those who addressed the gathering included  Vipan Sharma, Om Parkash, Neelama Devi Panch, Ganesh Kumar, Fambi Ram, Kartar Chand, Frantu Ram, Sharda Devi etc.
