CM inspects Birsa Munda Jail Complex

Ranchi, 13 March: Chief Minister Hemant Soren inspected the Birsa Smriti Park and Museum under construction in the Birsa Munda Jail Complex at the state capital on Saturday. He gave strict instructions not to take any kind of laxity in this ambitious project after closely observing the renovation work of the jail building spread over 28 acres and the construction of Birsa Smriti Park.

He further added that the room in Birsa Aba Jail where the days were spent, should also have his statue in that room. So that visitors can get to know their valor and struggle closely. This ambitious project is related to the state’s renowned freedom fighter Birsa Munda. “Only after being assured of the quality of work, the government should hand over the premises. Because the government will not tolerate any kind of omission. It is paramount to take care of the dignity and grandeur of Birsa Smriti Park”, he added.
 While going through the jail premises, the Chief Minister watched a documentary film based on the biography of Birsa Munda in different zones at the Museum. He suggested writing biographies of other martyrs including Hindi, English, Mundari in the regional language including Hindi, English, Mundari, Veer martyrs such as Sido-Kanhu, Nilambar-Pitambar, Nilambar-Pitambar, Diva Kishun, Gaya Munda, Telanga Khadia, Jatra Tana Bhagat, Veer Budhu Bhagat.
Soren directed to improve the earthen house built in the premises given the appearance of the village in the jail and also to keep it covered. He said that the earthen house has to be made better. The chief minister ordered no more molestation in the old jail. He said that work should be done keeping in mind the importance of jail.
