AZadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava begins at four places in UP

Lucknow, 12 March (HS) : ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava’  the mega evet to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence was started at four places in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the mahotsava at Kakori in Lucknow.

The CM kicked off the the Amrit Mahotsava after paying tributes to the martyrs of freedom struggle. Police band on the occasion presented National Anthem. CM Yogi in his inaugural speech called upon the people to make India a grand nation by fulfilling their individual responsbilies.

Cabinet Ministers Brajesh Pathak, Dr Mahendra Singh and Ashutosh Tandan were also presnt at Kakori alongwith the CM.

The Same programmes were held at Ballia, Jhansi and Meerut to as the state government had identifief four main spots of freedom  struggle for organising inaugural event on the day.

The programmes in UP were kicked off just aftern the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it from Gujarat. Cycle rallies were also organised on the occasion.

It may be mentioned here that the Government of India has decided to         celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava’  across the country to to mark the 75 years of India’s independence. This celebration will remain continue in the entire country for 75 weeks. Today’s inaugural programmes were also organised at 75 spots across the country.
