CM Yogi inaugurates & lays foundation stone of 27 power substations

Lucknow, 06 March (HS) :    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurates 11 power substations and laid foundation stone of 16 substations here. He on the occasion said that the UP Power Corporation achieved a grand success in ensuring better power supply in the state during CORONA lockdown period.

CM Yogi said that the better power supply has helped the farmers in reducing the cost of farming and their productivity. He said that the power department had succeeded in strengthening the trust of the common men by promoting better work culture in the last four years.

He said that the department is successfully ensuring 23 to 24 hour electricity supply to district headquarters, 21 hours to tehsil headquarters and 17 to 18 hours to rural areas without any discrimination.

CM Yogi said that as far as power sector is concerned the state of Uttar Pradesh has now moved towards self-reliance. He said that the new power substations will reduce the load of exiting substations and improve the power supply in the state.

He further said that the 11 power substations which were inaugurated today were constructed at a cost of Rs 571.57 Crore and the rest 16 substations whose foundation stone were laid to be constructed at Rs 1347.91 Crore.

The UP Power Minister Srikant Sharma on the occasion said that the department is achieving new hights under the guidance of the CM Yogi. Minister of State for Power Rama Shanker Singh Patel proposed vote of thanks.
