IG NS Jamwal pays tribute martyr OP Tanwar

Jammu, March 2 (HS): Inspector General of Border Security Forces (BSF) N S Jamwal paid tribute to martyr OP Tanwar who laid down his life in the line of duty on 16 Nov’ 2009 in Border out Post, Tanwar. Officials said in a solemn ceremony at BSF BOP Tanwar, N S Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu Frontier, laid wreath at the memorial dedicated to O P Tanwar and paid homage to the martyr who laid down his life in the line of duty on 16 Nov’ 2009. During this ceremony Hari Lal, DIG BSF and Harish Chandra, 2IC was also present among other officers and personnel of the force. It may be recalled that Late O P Tanwar was leading an operation in the river Basantar belt on 16 Nov’ 2009, when the militants triggered an IED and the brave BSF officer was martyred.
