CM Yogi seeks a plan for beautification of Sant Ravidas temple
Lucknow, 27 February (HS) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday offered flowers on the statue at Sant Ravidas at the Sant Ravidas Temple, Krishna Nagar in Lucknow, on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti. On this occasion, he extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to people on Sant Ravidas Jayanti and Maghi Purnima.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister asked Cantt. MLA Suresh Chandra Tiwari to prepare a plan for beautification of this temple of Sant Ravidas. CM Yogi said that 645 years ago, the great saint Ravidas ji was born, who gave birth to the tradition of the Sanatan Dharma of India by taking birth on the land of Kashi. Referring to late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who used to say that man is neither small, nor big, nor high, nor low, man is just a man, the Chief Minister observed that we are all seeing this feeling in the form of how a person achieves greatness through his karma and how one can become popular.
The life character of Sant Ravidas ji, he went on to say, provides inspiration to all of us. He also informed that the birthplace of Sant Ravidas Ji in Kashi is being beautified by the state government. The Chief Minister further said that Indian tradition and culture always considered religion to be duty and a living example of this was Saint Ravidas ji. Ravidas ji said that if the mind is healed, if we are pure from conscience, then the reward of spiritual practices also comes in the same form.
Saint Ravidas ji, after facing all kinds of hypocrisies throughout his life, worked to strengthen Sanatan Dharma, Yogi Adityanath ji observed. The Chief Minister said that Saint Ravidas Seva Samiti Lucknow’s propagation of the teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji from the last 83 rains is proving to be helpful in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’. He said that by taking inspiration from the ideals of the great saint, we can all pave the way for the welfare of our country and society.
Jal Shakti Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh, Lucknow Mayor Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia, Additional Chief Secretary Information and MSME Navneet Sehgal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister & Information Sanjay Prasad, Divisional Commissioner Lucknow Ranjan Kumar, District Magistrate Lucknow Abhishek Prakash and office bearers of the temple were present on the occasion.
