On the run, thieves who stole 36 computers, land in police net

PRAYAGRAJ, Feb 25 (HS):  Three persons who decamped with 36 computers from an institute in village Kanti under Ghoorpur police station an year ago, finally ran out of luck on Wednesday and landed in police net while ferrying and trying to dispose of the looted computers in Rewa, MP.  It is worth mentioning that IPS officer of Punjab cadre, Abdul Ahmed Siddiqui runs an institute in village Kanti under Ghoorpur police station. On the intervening night of February 24/25, 2020 unidentified miscreants decamped with 36 computers from the institute. Special Operation Group received a tip off Wednesday that a pick up laden with stolen computer items is heading towards Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The police intercepted the vehicle at Gauhaniya Crossing under Ghoorpur police station and arrested three persons who have been identified as Ramesh, Raju Namdev and Sahbaan Siddiqui while three others managed to flee and have been identified as

Mukul Yadav, Mohd. Ishaq and Mohd. Yaseen, all residents of Prayagraj. A total of six persons were involved in the loot. Police has recovered the looted items and teams have been constituted to arrest the remaining accused.
