Parents, lover and six others arrested in connection with murder of girl student
Chapra/Gopalganj, 25 February (HS): Stunning revelation has surfaced in connection with killing and hanging the girl student by a tree on 13 February. Police have arrested the lover, his parents, a ward member and two others in this connection and they are being interrogated. Police sources said that the girl student was called on 13 February in the evening and strangulated to death. Later her corpse was hanged by a tree to give an impression that it was a case of suicide and to divert police attention.Police have arrested lover Afsar Ali, his mother Sitara Khatun, father Nasim Ali, friend Dilbar Ali and a ward member Naimul Haque.
Police sources said that the mother had taken this step to save her son The ward member had helped in this gruesome act. Police , on the basis of evidences have come to the conclusion that it was a case of murder and not suicide.
