Lucknow, 28 January (HS) : The Ram Temple Model tableau of Uttar Pradesh that took part in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi on January 26, bagged first prize. The Central Government on Thursday awarded the officers of the Information Department of UP government for the same.
The Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Information Department Navneet Sehgal and Director Information Shishir received the award from Union Minister Kiren Rijiju at a function held in the national capital today.
Director Information Shishir took the twitter first to inform that the UP’s tableau bagged the first award. He also congratulated the departmental officials who conceptualized the Ram Temple Model tableau for Repulic Day parade.
It may be mentioned here that the tableaux of different states including UP had taken part in the Republic Day parade. The UP’s tableau had depicted Maharshi Valmiki sitting at the front writing the Ramayan with the replica of the Ram Temple Model in the background.
The Ram Temple Model tableau during the parade had had evoked strong reactions from the public. People were seen welcoming it with folded hands and they were shouting ‘Jai Sri Ram.’ Even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s face was giving a pleasant look when he shaw the tableau.
