Folk singer Umesh Singh got Vindhyavasini award

Chapra,27 January,2021 (HS) Folk singer Umesh Kumar Singh has been  felicitated with Vindhyavasini Devi award. Art and culture ministery has decided to felicitate artistes and singers for financial year 2018-19 and 2019-20.  Umesh Kumar Singh is son of late Prof. Ram Vrichha Singh and a resident of Prabhunath Nagar under Mufassil police station . Umesh Kumar is a senior folk singer and has kept the folk singing alive for the last thirty years. He has been awarded wirizes earlier. He old that his idol was Sant Raj Singh Ragesh . He is collecting conventional folk songs and is planning to publish it . He has made Chapra proud with his achievement and people have extended good wishes to him.
