Chennai gets connected with Statue of Unity

Tamil Nadu: Chennai, January 17 (HS):Chennai is now connected to Kevadiya in Gujarat which houses the popular statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, through Superfast Weekly Special Train. 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off the special train through video conferencing today.
The train will be flagged off in the presence of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
The completion of Dabhoi – Chandod – Kevadiya new broadgauge line, Indian Railway has now connected Statue of Unity at Kevadiya with various parts of the country.
Kevadiya has now been connected with Varnasi, Dadar, Ahmedabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Rewa, Pratap Nagar. 
Prime Minister will also be inaugurating trains connecting Kevadiya with the above said locations along the train connecting Kevadiya with Chennai today.
Also a train linking Kevadiya with Pratap Nagar will also be inaugurated today. 
As Kevadiya is connected with Chennai, people from Chennai will be able to visit the iconic statue in Gujarat.
People from Tamil Nadu willing to reach Kevadiya to visit the iconic statue through train route can take help of this special train between Chennai Central and Kevadiya.
