Lucknow, 16 June\u00a0 (HS) :\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Inspired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the teachers of Uttar Pradesh have come forward to take responsibility for children orphaned due to COVID-19. The Vice-Chancellor and teachers of Lucknow University stepped to the fore for children who lost both the parents\/earning parent to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

So far, 75 students have been identified whose education expenses will be taken care of by the teachers.<\/p>\n

Lucknow University Vice-Chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai said, \u201cCM Yogi has become an inspiration for many teachers and on his footstep, they have stepped forward to help children,\u201d adding \u201cIt is only because of CM Yogi that Uttar Pradesh has become exemplary for other states by launching many welfare schemes.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the better education and the bright future of more such children, teachers from Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Sultanpur, and other districts are also bearing the expenses of 1000 children.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n CM Yogi Is A Messiah For Children, say teachers<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n \n Sushil Singh, working as Associate Professor in Ramswaroop University, Lucknow, said that CM Yogi is no less than a \u2018Messiah\u2019 for these orphan kids.<\/p>\n \n \u201cThe Yogi government has been committed since the beginning to the education, health, and betterment of the children. On the lines of CM Yogi, my organisation is taking full responsibility for the education of over 50 children.\u201d<\/p>\n \n Anupam Srivastava of Prayagraj is also taking care of around 100 children who belong to financially weak families.<\/p>\n \n Rakesh Pandey, who works as an assistant teacher in the primary school of Varanasi, has helped about 500 destitute children financially in the last two years.<\/p>\n \n He said, \u201cThere is no greater religion than helping someone who is in misery. Over 50 children have been identified so far who have lost their parents due to COVID-19. \u201d<\/p>\n \n \n Shailendra Chaturvedi, a teacher of Government Girls Inter College, Sultanpur, said, \u201cAll of us are constantly in touch with thee NGOs and identifying such children in the district. So far, 20 children have been identified.\u201d<\/p>\n \n \u201cMukhyamatri Bal Seva Yojana is a meaningful initiative of CM Yogi launched for the children, which will directly benefit many orphan children of the state,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \n Apart from teachers, many other government and non-government organisations in the state are putting all their efforts to identify COVID-19 orphaned children and take their responsibilities.<\/p>\n \n \n Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n \n For the systematic upbringing and education of children who lost both their parents or legal guardians due to COVID-19, CM Yogi had launched \u2018Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana\u2019.<\/p>\n \n Under this dream project of CM Yogi, monthly financial assistance of Rs 4,000 will be given to a child\u2019s guardian or caretaker till he or she attains adulthood, while those who do not have anyone to look after them will be sent to child protection homes.<\/p>\n \n Free Education For Children<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n \n In support of children orphaned by COVID-19, the CM said that a free education facility will be provided in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and Atal residential schools.<\/p>\n \n He also instructed the officials to ensure proper education for orphaned children above 18 years of age. \u201cNo child\u2019s education should be interrupted due to financial reasons, \u201d he said.<\/p>\n \n Under the Abhyudaya Yojana of the Yogi Government, laptops and tablets will be provided to facilitate higher studies of such children.<\/p>\n \u00a0The Yogi Government will provide financial assistance of \u20b91,01,000 for the marriage of girls under the scheme.<\/p>\n \n <\/p>\n
