MP Chaos: Mob torches 11 vehicles, cop hurt after deadly crash in Singrauli

A coal-laden truck collided with a bike in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli on Friday, killing two men and sparking violent protests. A mob, including the victims’ family members, torched 11 vehicles, including seven buses.
Police rushed to control the chaos, but one officer suffered injuries in the unrest. Meanwhile, the truck driver fled, and authorities launched a search to track him down. Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri confirmed that law enforcement brought the situation under control after the violence.
To prevent further clashes, officials deployed a heavy police force in the area. Authorities assured strict action against those responsible for the arson and disorder. Legal proceedings regarding the accident and protests remain a priority, SP Khatri stated.
This deadly crash follows another tragic accident in Madhya Pradesh earlier this week. A truck driving on the wrong side of the highway rammed into a minibus near Jabalpur, killing seven pilgrims returning from the Maha Kumbh Mela. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the truck’s reckless driving caused the collision, leaving several passengers trapped in the wreckage.
