Lucknow, 09 April (HS) : In view of rising cases of COVID-19 in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday asked the senior officers to allow work from home in four districts including Lucknow.
Whike addressing a high-level meeting today CM Yogi said that prevention is always better than cure. He said that all the government and non-government offices in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Kanpur cities may be allowed ‘work from home’ as per convenience.
It may be mentioned here that with Covid-19 cases surging across the state, the Yogi government is leaving no stones unturned to defeat the virus. In the meeting, the CM directed all the government and the non-government offices of Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj to operate with 50 percent human resource capacity or on shift basis .
He ordered the senior officials to ensure vigilance and complete compliance of the Covid Protocol ho including social distancing and shift-wise working in the offices.
3 new Covid hospitals in 3 days
CM Yogi in the meeting instructed the officials concerened to set up three new dedicated Covid Hospitals in the state capital in the next three days. These dedicated Covid Hospital will have isolation beds, ventilators, bypap machines and High Flow Nasal Canula (HFNC) machines.
CM said that the patients from other places also used to come to Lucknow for treatment hence the state capital should have better medical infrastructure. He also asked the officials to make arrangements for additional human resources so that patients can get better medical facilities.
In the battle against coronavirus, CM Yogi has given directions to escalate vaccination in Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, Agra, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Varanasi. He said that for effective prevention of Covid-19, action should be taken in accordance with the mantra of ‘Test, trace, treat’. In Uttar Pradesh, there are around 125 laboratories in the public sector and 104 laboratories in the private sector for Covid-19 test.
Emphasis on adequate availability of oxygen
The Chief Minister also emphasised to maintain adequate availability of oxygen, health personnel, medicines, medical equipment and backups in Covid hospitals. He has also issued guidelines for increasing the beds of Level-2 and Level-3 Covid Hospitals.
He assured that there would be no dearth of resources and the hospital administration should inform the government immediately in case of any need.
