BJP’s Aar Noi Annayay campaign formally launched in Howrah
Howrah/Kolkata, 13 March (HS) : BJP West Bengal state President Dilip Ghosh today formally launched the party’s newly introduced ‘Aar Noi Annay’ (No more wrong doing) campaign from his own weekly ‘Chaye Pe Charcha’ programme at a small tea stall in this industrial city adjacent to Kolkata sparking considerable enthusiasm among the local people.
Reiterating the commitment of BJP, as announced by Union Home minister Amit Shah at a public rally in Kolkata on 1 March, that no more wrong doings of the ruling Trinamool Congress in Bengal would be tolerated by BJP workers who would put up stiff resistance to protest such incidents, Ghosh said referring to the large scale violence during the last Panchayat elections in the state.
BJP workers were now fully prepared to prevent such incidents and all electoral malpractices by the TMC workers during the coming civic body elections across the state, he said.
About the possibility of former Kolkata Mayor and now a BJP leader Sovan Chattopadhyay to participate in the election campaign for BJP before the next month’s Kolkata Corporation elections specially in view of yesterday’s meeting between Chief minister Mamata Banerjee and Baishakhi Banerjee, the close friend and companion of Sovan Chattopadhyay, raising some doubts, Ghosh refused to pay any attention to the meeting and claimed that Sovan was a matured political leader and hopefully he would not be guided by any other person to make his ‘political harakiri’ at the crucial juncture of his career.
He also highly complimented the steps taken by the Union Health ministry to prevent the spread of Corona Virus, and urged everybody to strictly follow the guidelines of the Health ministry to get rid of the killer disease, during his interactions with the local people over a cup of tea this morning.
