23 IPS officers get promotion in UP on the eve of New Year
Lucknow, 31 December (HS) : The Yogi government on the eve of New Year, promoted 23 IPS officers on Thursday. Among them six officers have been promoted to IG from DIG, eight SSP to DIG and nine SPs have been given selection grade.
According to Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Kr Awasthi the IPS officers including Modak Rajesh D. Rao, Vinay Kr Yadav, Hira Lal, Shiv Shanker Singh, Dr Rakesh Singh and Rajesh Kr Pandey have been promoted to IG from the post of DIG while Amit Pathak, Vinod Kr Singh, Jogendra Kumar, Ravi Shanker Chhavi, Pratibha Ambedakar, Nitin Tiwari, Ashok Kumar-III and Anil Kr Singh have been made DIG from the rank of SSP.
Besides, Sureshrao Anand Kulkarni, Amit Verma, Bharti Singh, Vipin Kr Misra, Madhav Pd Verma, Sabha Raj, Swami Prasad, Saumitra Yadav and Ramesh have been given selection grade of Indian Police Services, he added.
