YSRCP Candidates file papers for Rajya sabha
Andhra Pradesh : Amaravathi:March 11:All the four candidates of the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) today filed their nomination papers for the biennial election to Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh.Their names were announced day before Holi.
Those nominated are Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, industrialist Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal Nathwani who filed their nominations with Legislature Secretary and Returning Officer Balakrishnamacharyulu in State Secretariat in Amaravati.Among four two Bose and Venkatramana were members of the legislative council that was dissolved recently and both are presently minister in JaganMohan Reddy cabinet.
Earlier they received the Form-B, as the official nominees of the party from the state Chief Minister and YSRCP president .
The party is comfortably placed to elect all his nominated members with a strength of 151 in the Assembly of 175. The Oppostion Telugu Desam party has forced a contest by nominating Varla Ramaiah who is unlikely to sail through. TDP is likely to file its papers on March 13th and election is scheduled to be held on March 26 and results will announced same day .
