Yoga will be part of the curriculum in Haryana
New Delhi, 21 June (HS): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said that to make Yoga a part of the lives of the students, the State Government has decided to make Yoga a part of the curriculum in classes I to X. From student life itself, if children make yoga a part of their daily routine, then their life will be easy.
After inaugurating the state level program organized in Chandigarh on the occasion of International Yoga Day, CM Manohar Lal said that Yoga is an ancient form of our country. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given it a new identity in the whole world. To promote yoga, the state government constituted the Yoga Commission,” Khattar said.
He informed that a decision has been taken to open yoga gymnasiums in 6700 villages of the state. In the first phase, gymnasiums will be started in one thousand villages. Out of them, yoga gymnasiums have been started in 550 villages. Through them people of rural areas are also connecting with yoga.
Manohar Lal informed that the government has approved the recruitment of one thousand yoga teachers and 22 yoga coaches in the villages. Very soon these recruitments will start. Yoga will take the form of a movement in Haryana as soon as this scheme is implemented. Every Haryanvi will be a part of it.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the first state in the country where a university is being established to promote AYUSH. He informed that wellness centers are being opened in 407 AYUSH hospitals of the state. This will benefit the people living in every part of the state and they will be able to connect directly with the ancient form of yoga. Giving the mantra of ‘Adopt Rog-Rahe Nirog’ to the people of Haryana, the Chief Minister said that there is no age for doing yoga. The Chief Minister said that in 22 districts of Haryana, 1 thousand, 55 thousand people at 100 places have participated in the Yoga Day programs under the Corona Protocol. On this occasion, Chairman of Yoga Commission Jaideep Acharya, several IAS and IPS officers of Haryana participated in the program.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that on the occasion of International Yoga Day on Monday, on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a Mega Vaccine campaign will be launched in Haryana. Under this, a target has been set to provide corona vaccine to 2.5 lakh people of the state in a day. Health department teams have started work in the state.
