Women Wing geared up for aggressive membership drive to expand NC’s reach: Satwant
Jammu March, 19(HS): NC’s Women Wing has geared up for aggressive membership drive across Jammu province with the aim to expand its reach and make it inclusive so that it reaches women from all walks of life, said NC’s Provincial President Satwant Kaur Dogra. The other dignitaries present there included Daljeet Sharma, District President, Jammu (Rural), Shakuntala Devi District Secretary, Kirti Devi Vice President and hundreds of women wing workers Satwant. She said that the party will adopt all possible measures to expand its base to achieve the realistic target of increasing its membership by at least 20% from across Jammu.
She declared that only those cadres will be considered as active members who ensure addition of at least 15 new faces in the party. “Women from across the communities and class should be approached during the campaign. The new member should feel a sense of belongingness to a family of National Conference. The efforts shouldn’t be a mere formality but for a genuine cause. With the new membership drive the strength of our party will grow further” said Satwant Kaur Dogra.
She said it is time for us to stand in the name of humanity against the ideas of divisiveness and the nefarious designs of perpetuating identity-based hatred by destructive forces in order to save Jammu and Kashmir. “The deteriorating economic condition and rising unemployment have become the most pressing problems. Anti-people policies of the government have made the everyday life of common citizens miserable,” the NC leader said.
