Women Help Desk inaugurated at Police Station Rehambal

UDHAMPUR, April 12 (HS):In order to deal with the crime against women, Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur, Mrs.Sargun Shukla, IPS inaugurated a Help Desk for women at Police Station Rehambal, Udhampur in the presence of Sahil Mahajan Dy.SP Headquarter Udhampur, inspector Chaman Gorka, inspector Jaswinder Singh and other police officials of District Udhampur.

While inagurating the Women Help Desk at Rehambal, SSP Madam said that this Help Desk shall provide a comprehensive platform to women to highlight their issues before police authorities in a hassle free manner, especially in cases relating to heinous crime.Moreover, the contact numbers of Help Desk are also shared.

SSP Udhampur also directed the officers that addressing crime against women and girls has to be on the top priority. Locals of the area appreciated the initative taken up by the Udhampur Police and said that this was much needed to assure women that their voice will be heard and timely action will be taken.
