Why do we need a job, go to Shaheen Bagh in Delhi and perform instead of jobs- Dubai Officer..
Dubai, Jan 27(HS): When a Kerala youth asked for a job in Dubai, he got a strange answer from the company manager. The company advised him to go to Shaheen Bagh in Delhi and sit-in protest instead of seeking jobs.
Protests have been taking place in this area of South Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for almost a month and a half.
Abdullah, a 23-year-old resident of Kerala, applied for the post of a mechanical engineer. According to the Dubai newspaper, Jayant Gokhale, a senior officer of a consultancy firm, wrote in an email, “I was wondering what do you need for a job?” Go to Delhi and join the dharna going on in Shaheen Bagh. Every day you will get one thousand rupees for free. Also Biryani for free. Tea, food, and sweets will also be available.
Abdullah said that he is surprised to see this mail. He does not understand how anyone can write such things. Abdullah said that he had shared this mail with some friends, which later went viral. He said that he does not want any dispute over it. He just needs a job. After the mail went viral, Gokhale said that his aim was not to hurt anyone through this mail, ‘I have already apologized to Abdullah’.
