Valedictory at AF Avadi remains a grand affair
Tamil Nadu: Chennai, January 23 (HS):Air Force Station in Avadi was center of attraction yesterday when valedictory function was held at its premises yesterday to mark the successful completion of their basic phase training there.
Over 396 trainees who completed their basic training at Mechanical Transport Training Institute (MTTI) received commendations during the valedictory.
Air Commodore Vipul Singh, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Tambaram presided over this ceremony and complimented the trainees for successful completion of their Basic Phase Training.
The moment was no less historic for MTTI, as it is for the first time, the institute conducted Basic Phase Training of ab-initio trainees who will now be sent to various other training institutes of IAF, for further specialization in their respective trades.
Amongst the trainees, trophy for Best in Academics was awarded to AC (U / T) Nikhil Tiwari.
Best in General Service Training trophy was awarded to AC (U / T) Dilip Kumar and Best All Rounder trophy was awarded to AC (U / T) Nikhil Tiwari.
