UP to make another structural change,remove one more hurdle
Lucknow,May 29(HS)The Uttar Pradesh government which has already changed the labour law, announced on Friday decision to make another structural change– to change the land law.These structural changes were mainly demanded by industrialists and will help the government realise its dream of making UP an industrial hub.
The Land Acquisition Act,2013 will be amended for the purpose.This will facilitate easy acquisition of land within one kilometer on both sides of expressways.A large electronics city near Jewar International Airport will come up early now in the light of this decision.
A land bank which is proposed to be created largely will meet the industrial requirement.Land of closed public sector units may also be auctioned.Legal opinion is being sought on this issue.Gram Sabhas’ public land may be offered for industrialists.
There is also a proposal to revise to land use change fee.The Revenue Code has to be changed for the purpose.
The government has decided,in addition, to establish a modern integrated industrial township with mixed land use .
Earlier, the state government had changed the labor laws and exempted newly established industries from application of these laws.The government has already taken some other decisions to help exporters.
