UP Government begins to set up CISF type force

Dehradun: A day after UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced to constitute its own Special Security force on the lines of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to protect Metro Rail stations, Airports, Industrial units and district collectorates, at a high- level meeting chaired by him on Friday at Lucknow, the government on Saturday began the process to this effect.
Officials said the force to be known as Special Security Force, will be set up after proper recruitment process. They said after the advertisement for recruitment in the upcoming Special Security Force is published, interested applicants may apply for different posts.
According to officials, state government will also chalk out a proper roadmap for setting up upcoming special security force shortly. “Once proper procedure for recruitment and roadmap for how it will function, is finalized, we will act accordingly” , said a senior official.
According to officials, upcoming special security force, will be headquartered at Lucknow.
